Group Classes for perfect manners in a dynamic, one of a kind setting

These are not your average classes

Our classes focus on real life skills in classroom and real world settings. Plus, classes are tailored to your pup’s age range to foster an ideal learning environment.

We make life with your dog easier

As behavior specialists, we use evidence-based approaches to prevent behavior problems. Our goal is to teach your dog key skills for lifelong success. We want your pup to know how to chill out with you and mind their manners.

We are proud to offer Group Classes at our clinic in Castle Pines, taught by Eric Gillaspy, CPDT-KA/CDBC.

Pawsitive Puppy Class

This social and fun class will start your puppy on the right paw! Our classes are built to support you so that you can safely socialize your puppy during this critical developmental stage. When you graduate, we can continue education in our tiered system so you and your pup never stop learning and growing together.

Pawsitive Puppy Classes are for puppies who:

  • Are between 7-21 weeks of age
  • Have received their first round of vaccines
  • Have seen their vet 10 days prior to their first class

At Pawsitive Puppy Class, our priorities are your priorities. We will:

  • Teach you how to socialize your puppy to build your puppy’s confidence
  • Teach you how to prevent unwanted puppy behavior
  • Provide your puppy with a safe and controlled environment for exploration and learning
  • Introduce your puppy to clicker training and start teaching manners
  • Reduce your frustration, allowing you to enjoy your puppy while they’re so tiny and cute

In Be-Tween Class

Like most adolescent teens, dogs between the ages of 6 to 24 months are experiencing hormonal and physiological changes that can cause different behaviors to arise. During this developmental stage, your dog is likely to test certain rules and boundaries, experience an increase in energy at odd times, and have difficulty regulating their emotions.

By now, your dog’s critical socialization period has ended; however, it is not too late to socialize to new things, although it may take longer to condition a positive association. Think of it as learning a new language. The younger you are, the easier it is to learn. It is still possible to learn a new language at an older age, although it may take longer. During this course, we’ll help you manage any new or existing behaviors that you are having difficulty with and teach new, alternative and more appropriate behaviors.

In Be-Tween classes are for dogs who:

  • Are between 6 to 24 months of age
  • Are fully vaccinated
  • Are ready to take the next steps in their training journey

At In Be-Tween Class, our priorities are your priorities. We will:

  • Review and learn new cues and behaviors
  • Learn to manage unwanted behaviors
  • Highlight the difference between “normal” behavior vs. stress and fear
  • Offer creative solutions for enrichment, as well as make sure your pup’s needs are met through this isolation period
  • Teach you and your dog ways to keep up with socialization

Dog About Town Class

Dog About Town will teach you to train your dog out in the real world. We will work in open spaces, on trails, at outdoor malls, on city streets, and at breweries/wineries and other dog friendly businesses around town.

Our certified professional dog trainers will coach you as you and your pup
practice their manners in increasingly distracting environments. Our goal: your dog can behave appropriately and with calm confidence in any situation.

Our first class will take place in the Behavior Vets classroom for foundation skills before we hit the road for the next 3 sessions.

Dog About Town classes are for dogs who:

  • Are over 21 weeks of age
  • Are fully vaccinated
  • Are ready to take the next steps in their training journey

At Dog About Town Class, our priorities are your priorities. We will:

  • Work in real life situations to teach you and your dogs skills you really want to know
  • Provide your dog with a safe and controlled environment to build confidence – for both of you
  • Reduce your frustration, allowing you to enjoy your dog where you want them – out and about with you!
