In this talk, Andrew will be considering the psychology behind judgments and expectations and the important role they play in defining how we view the behavior of others. Examining the role of belief systems, cognitive bias and the use of language, Andrew will explain the importance of these principles when working with clients and in understanding our own outlook and approaches.
Learning objectives:
- Understand the role of belief systems in judgements and expectations
- The importance of language in supporting and challenging belief systems
- How belief systems can lead to a drive to control, manage or coerce the behavior of others.

These webinars are suitable for veterinary professionals, animal trainers, animal behaviorists, shelter and rescue staff and volunteers, and anyone with an interest in evidence-based behavior intervention.
This is an online event. The Zoom link will be emailed one day prior to the event. “Doors” open at 10:30am EDT. Feel free to log in and wait in our “waiting room” via Zoom.
