Deep Dive: Sensory Integration – Neville’s Story

Join us for this unique collaboration, bringing together a Veterinary Behaviorist, a Neuroscientist and a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, to take a deep dive into the neurobiology behind a real behavior case. Neuroscientist Dr. Kathy Murphy, Board Certified Veterinary Behaviorist Dr. E’Lise Christensen, and Certified Dog Behavior Consultant Bobbie Bhambree will take you on journey of dog and his humans, as they address the severe fear that has impacted all of their lives. Immerse yourself in all stages, from first presentation, assessment, case planning, implementation, and reflection on the outcome.

Neville is a young Golden Retriever living in New York City, who finds the outside world a scary place. We will hear directly from Neville’s owners about the impact this has on his quality of life and the quality of life of his human family. We will take you through the neurobiology of Neville’s diagnosis and behavior modification plan (both in terms of chosen medication and non-pharmacological interventions, such as the training exercises chosen for him).

This one-day virtual seminar will include live online lectures, video footage taken throughout Neville’s treatment, and live discussion / Q&A sessions. This seminar will be recorded and available to participants for 12 months after the date of the live seminar, so even if you cannot attend the live seminar, you can still access it later.

The seminar is suitable for veterinary professionals, animal trainers, animal behaviorists and anyone with an interest in the neuroscience of training and behavior.
