Kimberly is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Fear Free Certified Trainer and Certified Digital Project Manager. She co-founded Canis Major Training in 2016 which operated as the premier training, board and train, and daycare facility of Denver, CO through 2021. For 13 years, Kimberly has managed support teams in various countries across multiple industries.
Kimberly has a Biology degree from Indiana University. In addition to running a dog training business, Kimberly worked as a Behavior Coordinator at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in Colorado providing training class instruction for the public, behavior modification and enrichment for shelter dogs and cats, and consultation for adopters of pets with special needs. Kimberly most recently came from the digital marketing industry as a Senior Digital Project Manager to enhance organizational cohesiveness, provide people-oriented guidance, and motivate customers and employees via exceptional interpersonal communication and customer service for organizations based in Chicago and Louisville, KY.
Kimberly is originally from Louisville, KY but Denver, CO is her homebase. She travels full time in her RV with her two dogs, Hazel and Taco. Kimberly enjoys full immersion in different cultures, hiking, running, biking, camping, non-fiction and learning Spanish as a second language. She is a volunteer with Friends of Megan Animal Rescue in Oaxaca, Mexico, and a coach with TribeNomadik to mentor aspiring or existing Digital Nomads, Remote Workers, Entrepreneurs, and Freelancers.
